Room to Publish:
We will also work with you to add additional Podcasts/Updates that may be timely and you feel information needs to be shared prior to the next scheduled release. (ex: Covid-19 update, school closures ). This would be unlimited, but should be used based on the severity and need of release.
NOTE: If you use Uptown Podcast or not, we recommend releasing overnight. Let’s say every Monday at 1:00 am. This gives the platforms time to update your RSS feed, so by the time your listeners wake up, your podcast will be there, waiting to played. The goal is to have a new show available to listen to on all platforms the same day, each week. We call it: CONSISTENCY.

Naming your Podcast.
How to best reflect what it is, while being catchy so students will remember the name. We are Podcast Domain name fanatics and use a special program to help in finding your perfect name.
The name should also be SEO friendly. Uptown Podcast will present several potential names, while working with you and your ideas until your eyes light up. That’s when you know you’ve got the name you want and need.
NOTE: No matter if you decide to go with Uptown Podcast or someone else: Keep it short.
Show Concept.
Laying out the framework of your Podcast. Will you have guests? Show length, (we already have an idea on this) listener participation. Do you want listeners to “take action” to further engage them?
We will map out your Podcast based on working with our ideas and your input. It will be tweaked along the way. In the end, it’s YOUR podcast. We continually advise and ALWAYS explain why we recommend what we say.
Custom Theme Music.
It better be hip for this audience! We create custom theme music all the time. We will create custom theme music that is looped-based, all original, or a combination of the two. It may or may not include elements pertaining to the show, depending on the outline.
Transitional music will also be created, if needed. This is something that we do until we deliver exactly what you need. We have a process we created that seems to work every time.
Show Opener.
The first thing you say when starting every show. This creates familiarity with your listeners and has an impact on the transition into the show. Great music up-front.

NOTE: Uptown Podcast or not: You should always speak as if you’re speaking to one person. It’s never “Hope everyone’s is staying safe”. IT IS: “Hope You’re staying safe”.

RECORDING
When we record, we do it right the first time.
Studio Grade Equipment:
In-person, via Zoom or using other platforms, we capture your content right the first time. We only use Professional gear.
On The Move:
If you’d like to record “on location”, we are set up for that and can offer this service up-to 2X per month in the metro area.
DAW:
(Digital Audio Workstation) All audio recordings are fed into our computer, with a USB Flash Drive as a back-up.
In-Person:
If you’d like to. You can have up-to four people recording a show, all with their own headphones to monitor and volume controls.
Levels:
We carefully monitor all levels during each recording session to make you sound the best.
EDITING
We Edit-You Win:
We are sticklers when it comes to editing. This includes the removal of “Ummms” “You Know’s” and other crutch words. The aim is to have smooth, seamless content. We remove things you never even knew existed!
Anything Else?
This is the time where your show opening/close is inserted along with your theme music and any audio interstitials, interviews…
Mix-Down/Mastering
Our belief is that if recorded properly, less is more. We don’t just use one of our hundred + sound-changing plugins “just because”. There has to be a purpose.
The Quality of Audio is incredibly important to us, but so is playability. We carefully mix each track into a beautiful sounding recording. If needed, we will:
Use of compression and other audio plugins along with out-board gear to help make your podcast sound as pro as you can go.
DISTRIBUTION
The Goal: Make it EASY for students to find your Podcast by making it available EVERYWHERE.
Students will then be able to listen via their favorite Podcast player (Stitcher, PlayerFM, Castbox..)
We Know the Podcast Space like no other and will get you the widest distribution available.
Uptown Podcasts is an Apple Podcast and Google Podcast Partner.
NOT ALL PLATFORMS ARE THE SAME.
Due to the fact that platforms can differ, we hand submit your Podcast to each one. Does it take more time? You bet! Then why?
Here’s an example: One platform may allow up-to 300 words for a Podcast description, while another one may allow up-to 500 words. We DON’T want to miss out on the opportunity to have an extra 200 words included, especially for SEO purposes.
Uptown Podcast will also provide code to embed a Podcast player on your website or any website you’d like it to be displayed.
We recommend one particular Podcast player. This is one we feel is the best currently available. Your latest podcast will be out front, while the player will give listeners the ability to scroll through past episodes and to listen to.
Note: We then mix and Master each file down to 64 kbs and convert it to an MP3. This assures great sounding audio for speech, while listeners will never experience the spinning “Wheel of Death” or other issues. You’ll sound great with no starting and stopping issues for every Podcast.
Logo Design (if needed).
We’ve Got Amazing talent and know what to do in Podcast logo design. Your logo will “POP” and be more visible
We will create a custom logo, working with ideas supported by you, until you’re happy.
In addition to Apple and Google, your Podcast will be available on Spotify, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Tunein, Overcast, and host of others.
NOTE: Uptown Podcast or not, Apple requires: 3000X3000 72dpi. It’s embedded in our brains.
