FlipGrid – From Startup to Microsoft.

Flipgrid is simple. Engage and empower every voice in classrooms by recording and sharing short, awesome videos A social learning platform for PreK to PhD learners. Grids are the meeting place for classrooms, schools, departments or any learning community to discuss topics. Teachers create “grids” to facilitate video discussions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can pose questions, called “topics,” and students can post video responses that appear in a tiled grid display. Students are then able to respond to one another, creating a “web” of discussion. The students use whiteboards to complete the work, recording themselves on Flipgrid. FlipGrid was acquired by Microsoft in 2018, while retaining all staff.
